The International Equine Body Worker Association (IEBWA) increases the knowledge and practice of equine body work by offering quality support in educational programs, professional guidelines, community awareness and scientific research. In addition the IEBWA will continue to encourage equine body workers to donate their services for other non-profit therapy riding programs.

GOALS

To foster and support the training of suitable persons as Equine Body Workers and to support, help and protect qualified Equine Body Workers.

To achieve the recognition and acceptance of Equine Body Worker practices by professional bodies and the public and to foster open communication between these bodies.

To make equine body work accessible by qualified personnel to the general public.

To encourage and facilitate properly designed scientific research documenting the benefits of equine body work. To ensure these current research findings are integrated into body work practice.

To be the coordinating and organizing body for the maintenance of contact between all Equine Body Workers affiliated with the Association.

To encourage members to volunteer their services to non-profit organizations such as adult and children riding therapy programs, outreach programs and other programs which incorporate the equine in the learning agenda.

To provide a discipline and code of professional and ethical conduct for members of the Association and to ensure that the required standards are maintained.

To maintain a register of qualified Equine Body Workers who are members of the Association.
