Massage Law Content

While every effort has been made to make sure these are correct, we insist you make your own inquires. If you have some new information or changes, please share them with us so we can pass them on.

These condensed versions may not be the current law. Court decisions amend them, and a host of other factors come into play when interpreting them. If you read most any practice act, unless it specifically allows massage, most can be interpreted in either direction depending on who is arguing the case. We have contacted every board directly asking their views on non-human massage and a specific set of questions. Many responded by just copying portions of their practice act to us in a letter. Others had their lawyers respond. You will find that most of the veterinarian that you know and whom provide care for your animal are not really aware of this wave of change. Most owners do not even realize that their right to chose the care they want has been removed for a variety of modalities.

These summaries are provided here as a resource. They should provide some information about the state of the law. However, a competent lawyer, who from other sources will research the law to insure what is current, should always be employed in matters of this importance.
